Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of CleanLeaf’s residential and commercial cleaning services across Canada.
Residential Terms
Applies to homes, condos, rentals1. Scope of Cleaning
Standard services include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and trash removal. Deep cleaning, move-in/out, appliances’ interior, and post-renovation work are available as add-ons and may require extended time.
2. Bookings & Access
You authorize CleanLeaf to access the premises during the scheduled window. If key or fob pick-up/drop-off is required, additional time may be billable. Safety risks or blocked access may result in cancellation fees.
3. Pets & Children
We work safely around pets and children. Please secure aggressive animals and disclose any sensitivities or allergies. Our staff will not handle biohazards or pet waste beyond standard cleanliness.
4. Pricing & Payments
Quoted prices are estimates based on the information provided and typical conditions. Final charges reflect actual time and scope. Payment is due upon completion. Unpaid balances accrue 2% per month (24% per annum) after 15 days.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Free changes with at least 24 hours’ notice. Same-day cancellations incur 50% of the booking charge; no-shows are charged in full. Severe weather or emergencies may waive fees at our discretion.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
If something was missed, report within 24 hours. We will re-clean the affected areas within a reasonable timeframe at no additional cost.
7. Damages & Liability
Please secure fragile or high-value items. CleanLeaf holds commercial general liability coverage. Our liability is limited to direct damages and shall not exceed the amount paid for the affected service. No liability for pre-existing wear, loose fixtures, or inadequate surfaces.
8. Health & Safety
We may refuse unsafe conditions including mold, infestations, biohazards, or hazardous materials. We follow WHMIS guidelines and use non-toxic supplies wherever practical.
9. Supplies & Equipment
We bring professional supplies and equipment. If you request specific products, you accept responsibility for their outcomes and suitability.
10. Privacy & Security
Keys and access codes are stored securely and returned upon request. We do not photograph interiors without consent. Personal data is handled according to our privacy practices.
11. Non‑Solicitation
You agree not to solicit or hire CleanLeaf personnel directly for 12 months after service. A placement fee equal to three months of typical service may apply if this clause is breached.
12. Governing Law
These residential terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
13. Updates to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a new effective date.
Commercial Terms
Applies to offices, retail, facilities1. Scope & Service Levels (SLA)
The Statement of Work (SOW) defines areas, frequency, and deliverables. Service windows, KPIs, and escalation paths form part of the SLA. Out‑of‑scope work requires written approval via change order.
2. Site Access & Safety
Client will provide badges, orientation, and hazard disclosures. CleanLeaf adheres to OHSA and site-specific rules. We may suspend work if unsafe conditions are identified.
3. Pricing, Invoicing & Net Terms
Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are issued monthly with Net 15 payment terms. Late balances accrue 2% per month (24% per annum). Disputed amounts must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
4. Change Orders
Adjustments to scope, frequency, or schedule require mutual written approval. Pricing updates become effective upon signed change order.
5. Cancellations & Minimums
Recurring contracts may include minimum service periods. Cancellations require 30 days’ notice unless otherwise defined in the SOW. Short-notice disruptions may incur stand-by charges.
6. Quality Assurance & Remediation
We implement inspections, checklists, and feedback loops. Deficiencies will be addressed within reasonable timeframes at no extra cost. Persistent issues trigger root-cause analysis and corrective action.
7. Confidentiality & Data Security
Both parties will safeguard confidential information. CleanLeaf personnel sign confidentiality agreements. Records are stored with limited access and reasonable technical controls.
8. Insurance & Indemnification
CleanLeaf maintains CGL, WSIB/WCB where applicable, and automobile liability. Each party indemnifies the other from third‑party claims arising from its negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Hazardous Materials
We do not handle asbestos, lead, or other controlled substances unless explicitly contracted. Client must notify us of known hazards in writing before work begins.
10. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, labour disputes, or governmental actions, provided prompt notice is given.
11. Subcontracting
CleanLeaf may subcontract qualified vendors while remaining responsible for performance. Subcontractors will meet background and insurance standards.
12. Compliance & Audits
Client may conduct reasonable audits of safety and quality practices with notice. CleanLeaf will cooperate with compliance reviews and implement agreed corrective actions.
13. Governing Law
These commercial terms are governed by the laws of the Province specified in the SOW, or Ontario if unspecified, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
14. Updates to Terms
Updates may be posted to this page and incorporated by reference into ongoing contracts. Material changes will be communicated to the designated client contact.
Legal Notices
By booking or receiving services from CleanLeaf, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms based on your selected service type above. If both residential and commercial services are provided, the commercial terms govern to the extent of any conflict.
- If any clause is held invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
- No waiver is effective unless in writing and signed by the waiving party.
